Thanks for the info. I will check that out. Mice are a nasty bunch. I keep my toys in a Garage. I wonder if that will also work in there. Tools, Equipment, etc. All stored but at one time, Mice galore. Then a snake once went inside. I have not seen a mouse until lately again. Either the...

    New guy, just learning

I had a similar problem on a Digger derrick truck some years ago. The pressure was there but the boom wouldn't lift. Same situation just a different machine. What was it? A quick disconnet. It broke internally and blocked the whole system. Is it possible that there is a disconnect on that...

Never knew that one but hey if it take that method I am surprised no one sells it. I had my dryer sheets out for a year or so and still no sign of the mice like is was. So I will continue that.. Got to wonder what works other than the bucket of water trick. May try that also. Good to know...

Interesting about the dryer sheets not working. I have had good luck with that. Yet I wonder about that some times. Maybe the mice are more tame. I have really big mice in the Upper Penninsula. MI. I had a snake once that entered the building and I couldn't find it. Yet that's about the...

    Case 1840

Check all the linkage, lube it or replace what is worn out. Take the floor boards out to see what the cause is. Maybe a simple fix.

I also had issues with the mice in the machines or around them. When not in use I added Dryer sheets in many places. That seems to work well. I place these sheets in small areas under floor boards in buckets of wood and wood piles. It does work. Or it seems to. Good Luck with this!

    s70 hydraulic question

You are correct. That is one sure way to see. Water is heavier than oil. I would rather do a complete flush with tank, Cylinders, filter and so on. Oil does not have that creamy look nor does it show bubbles of air. If the system is not contaminated. Just my Opinion. How all that water...

    s70 hydraulic question

This oil in the picture looks like water contamination. Flush the whole system. Or fill a clear bottle and ask a pro to anylize it. If you bought this new ask them. If it is water and only 300 hours where is that coming from. Is there any warranty with this machine or is it used little...

    Tilt stuck

I agree switch the lines and check the spool valve and where it connects while doing this it may be stuck. I also had the same idea that maybe a line is reversed or in the wrong position. Let us know what is found. Thanks

    grease fitting stuck

That's one way to do a pin. When you have clear access to it. In this small case unit it may be hard to do all that. I know what you're saying. It is a good method to keep the pin ends from mushrooming. The pins when stuck like that, no doubt get groved and it makes sense to take some...

    Stuck hydraulics.

If the unit was out in the cold for a good time. The oil or water in the oil froze. Remember that you also have frozen Cylinders and hoses, that need to warm up that may take some time to thaw. How long did you warm up the machine? You mentioned a switch that switch acuates some valve and that...

    grease fitting stuck

I woundn't worry about the scaring the pin. How does the lock bolt hold the pin in place or is it snap rings. I don't have mine to look at and wonder what the difference is. Give it a whirl.
