Ford CL-40..... Ford V-4 parts break down???

Hello all, I have finally found a nice Ford V-4 engine for my Ford CL40. I was wondering if anyone would have a parts break down of the engine. I need to see which side the drive hub bolts to the flex plate. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Oh ya! The V-6 thing is still on the table. If I can find a "good" 2.8L carb V-6 engine for a good price, I may do it. The newer 2.9L was fuel injected and I'm not sure if it as the hole for a distributor. Man, come to think of it, I could have a fuel injected V-6 skidsteer LOL!!! Joking.....it...

Ya, it makes me scratch my head the nerve some people have when it comes to selling used equipment. The V-4 was also a Cologne engine so the hook up is the same as the V-6. The Briggs Vanguard 35hp makes max torque of 53ftlbs @ 2200rpm The Briggs Vanguard 31hp makes max torque of 47ftlbs @ 2200rpm My concern would be how much torque would be lost as RPM's climb as the pump is to run at 2800rpm. The Wisconsin VH4D (30hp) which was used in the smaller Ford CL30...

Repowering my Ford CL40 (Sorry, not a Bobcat :( )

Hello to you all from Ontario Canada! Just registered but have been lurking for awhile now since I picked up this Ford Skid Steer. I'm looking to re-power my CL40 with a more popular engine. The little Ford V-4 was ran without the governor.....so you know where this is going. My question is...
