Get rid of my s220 and get a similar sized unit that I can do the service and repair myself, advice please. Thx

totally agree. I told them that I at least know that much not to throw parts into the charge system. If the "tech" suspects battery, he can use a test battery. if he suspects alternator, he can measure its output of greater than 13.5V. At least they know that I'm not that stupid. Hopefully...

Get rid of my s220 and get a similar sized unit that I can do the service and repair myself, advice please. Thx

Guys, Thx for your help and encouragement. Just got an email from the Bobcat dealership saying that they did all the tests and actuators are both ok. That’s good news. Bad news is that they have no clue what’s causing the issue (3265 3236 3231). Even worse news is that they want to start from...

Get rid of my s220 and get a similar sized unit that I can do the service and repair myself, advice please. Thx

Guys, thanks for your encouragement. I already feel better now. I’m the kind of guy that has to know every single piece of my equipment fleet. Guess it’ll take time for me to figure things out and be comfortable with it. It gives either 3265 and 3236 or 3265 and 3231. It does not tell me...

Get rid of my s220 and get a similar sized unit that I can do the service and repair myself, advice please. Thx

Just to vent a little. Brought it in this morning. Hate the feeling of handing over the machine to the service guy and not knowing what they're going to do to it is really needed and how much. You feel so tiny!

Get rid of my s220 and get a similar sized unit that I can do the service and repair myself, advice please. Thx

I’m a tree trimmer and I’m naturally more familiar with wood chippers, stump grinders and mini skid. I always wanted a larger, standard sized skid to use around my property for digging. That was the reason I bought this 2008 joy stick controlled S220 from a friend. It seemed to be a good move at...

help needed to trouble shoot the 14 and/or 7 pin connector

Spence an hour and half this morning thinking to troubleshoot from the computer input end (joy stick output). It turned out very disappointing. The left joy stick have 4 wires coming out of the top switch bundle that goes into the bottom of the servo into some circuits. the entire thing with 14...

help needed to trouble shoot the 14 and/or 7 pin connector

I have a 2008 S220, till now I never have the need to use either of the connectors. Now I got a 2015 angle broom for snow removal. I was able to spin the broom, but have no luck getting the cylinder that changes the angle to work. I tried all the button on my control (BTW, it's a hand control...

Help needed to troubleshoot Bobcat 7-pin connector functions

went through the entire service manual and found out that no electrical diagrams or trouble shooting guide are included. So, question here: where can I get the electrical diagram of the machine? is it even available to the public?

Help needed to troubleshoot Bobcat 7-pin connector functions

I agree. Seems something somewhere is either turned off or not working right. Checked The connectors on the black box magnetically mounted.

Help needed to troubleshoot Bobcat 7-pin connector functions

Just did some tests. The connectivity of all wires on the 7 pin connector are all good. As to the 14 pin one, more bad news. Nothing at all on any of the 13 pins when I push the left/right, cylinder in / cylinder out buttons. That probably mean that something is not working in the bobcat. So I’m...

Help needed to troubleshoot Bobcat 7-pin connector functions

Yea. Even if I did figure out what’s wrong with the 7 pin I might as well change it. Digital electronics make my skin crawl. Why would some bobcat engineer replace a Two relay circuit with a computer? Just totally blow my mind.

Help needed to troubleshoot Bobcat 7-pin connector functions

just found out that 7 pin output is all digital, so screw Bobcat! I might want to throw away that black digital box on thr broom and replace it with two relays and a 14 pin connector. Re: Bobcat 7pin vs 14 pin? Posted: 12-11-2008 09:49 PM The 14 pin carries voltage for relays on the attachment...

Help needed to troubleshoot Bobcat 7-pin connector functions

I bought a 2015 84 inch angle broom a week ago to do snow removal of my rental properties. Upon receiving it, I hooked it up to my 2008 S220. I was able to spin the broom but not change the angle when I push the left / right arrows on my right joy stick. I really have to even think about bring...

Tazza. Thx for the very good information. I kind of know it’s a good engine but wasn’t sure about the health condition of it. Now I feel better about it. I
