Turns out the two hex parts in the photo split after a liberal application of creep oil and even some heat with an impact! I'm not sure that the guy I bought it from maintained it as frequently as he claimed.

Mine wipes from a horizontal position at the top down to a vertical position on the side. When I'm out blowing snow and the cab is warm it ends collecting a ton of snow on it as it travels back up. Is there any trick to alleviating this or is it just something I'll have to deal with?
