    Bobcat 843 servo

Well its installed, working properly and no leak from where it had been leaking before. With over 4500 hours I guess I can expect lots of areas of worn linkages.

    Bobcat 843 servo

I would lean toward this being the way the servo value was made and it may have had something to do with the way the servo valve was machined. Even though its not in the parts diagram. The servo valve it ready to be installed now, lets hope it no longer leaks.

    Bobcat 843 servo

They appear to have smushed the existing bushing pressing it out. I should have a new bushing from Bobcat today for them to push in

    Bobcat parts

I do order parts from a dealer via phone. With a parts manual I can call with the part number and have the part shipped directly to me (normally direct from Bobcat). You can probably get a small discount from the company if you open up an account.

    Bobcat 843 servo

They pressed the bushing out and it was covering a metal plug and o-ring that was not in properly. Its odd in that I do not see that in the parts diagram for the servo. I have not looked at the servo yet with the bushing out. Need to get them another bushing to press in. What would this metal...

    Bobcat 843 servo

I brought the servo to a hydraulic repair place and they seem to think there is a crack where the bushing is pressed in. I am hoping they can weld it?

    Bobcat 843 servo

Is it possible there is suppose to be a small hole in the casting to let some hydraulic fluid lubricate the bushing? (long shot)

    Bobcat 843 servo

The hydraulic fluid is leaking around the bushing so my mechanic thinks there is a crack in the casting around where the bushing is pressed in.

    best attachment for dirt driveway

I have a dirt driveway that I would like to maintain with a skidsteer and attachment (besides the bucket). Basically deal with pot holes and keep a slight crown in the center of the drive (so water runs off and potholes are not created). The guy who did my drive had an expensive skidsteer with...

    Bobcat 843 servo

The servo for the left drive is leaking at a good clip. (Its more of a valve, but Bobcat calls it a servo). Are they rebuildable? Kits available? Or replace? If I get a used one is it likely to have a leak shortly also. I believe we replaced the bushing either in the servo or the part that...

shudder on left side of 843

This 843 has three pumps in a row driven by the engine. First is left, then right, then bucket. The right side works fine, the left has the shudder problem. If there was a problem with the drive to the first pump it would effect them all.

shudder on left side of 843

Its an 843, no drive belt.

shudder on left side of 843

"brass means stat" - can you explain that comment?

shudder on left side of 843

The left side seems to shudder at times when going forward or backward and cause the skid steer to bounce around. A local mechanic verified the chain drive and it seems OK, he suspects the pump is weak but has not verified. He is not sure enough where he wants me to spend $1800 on a rebuilt...

    843B pump is toast

I have a mechanic who is moonlighting doing the work. But there are things that are worn in the pump and need replacement. Bobcat does not sell any parts, only new pumps.
