    742B wiring schematic

Yeah the plug is bad. One side carries over 12 volt and can't get a good reading on the other. Kind of a bad spot for them to put it but after I lifted the cab I got it tested and ran a jumper from the starter to the bad side of the plug. Works like a charm now! Thank all for the help and thanks...

    742B wiring schematic

In reading the schematic the wire giving me trouble goes straight from the starter to the fuse in the cab. Guess that's going to be a straight replacement and the box I was concerned about has nothing to do with it. Man that cleared a lot up for me...thanks again all! BUT, will post again to...

    742B wiring schematic

Thanks Machinist! That's a good view! Nexus, not sure about wiring by the seat. The wiring comes from the engine compartment and goes up the cab to the switch/fuses but I'll look today. Going to turn the heat on in the garage and get out and run it down. You folks are fantastic! This machine...

    742B wiring schematic

I came over here from my original post because it said there was a wiring diagram, the one listed does not work. Life is normal :)

    742B wiring schematic

742b gasser and 743 are a bit different. I think I've run the problem down to lack of power at the switch. If I run a hot lead to the switch all works fine. The power wire at the switch has 10.3 volts so it won't go without the jumper. There is a little black box in the engine compartment that...

    742B wiring schematic

Ever find a wiring diagram? Mine isn't getting power to the ignition switch, fuses are good. Lost link somewhere between the starter and ignition switch.

    742B electrical

No it's a Mitsubishi motor and only has one solenoid on the starter. Thinking there's a broken wire somewhere but not going to be able to do anything before this weekend. Was just hoping someone could come here and say hey, this is what's wrong, lol.

    742B electrical

On a 742B it is gas so running a hotwire to the coil allows spark to the plugs. Also running a hotwire to the coil allows electric to back feed so you can turn the starter using the key since power is back fed. Although the starter can be jumped at the solenoid but since the electric is back fed...

    742B electrical

No I'm running a hotwire to the coil. I've checked the ignition switch and there's no power to it. No idea that there is a plug on the left hand side of the seat, I'll take a look. I'm starting to think there isn't really anything between the fuse and the hot so I may end up looking for bad wire.

    742B electrical

My unit starts and runs great if I jump the coil. Otherwise I get no power to the switch. I've checked the fuses in front and they are good. Where would I look in the engine compartment to find out where the electrical loss would be?

    742B ignition switch

I'm trying to find the part number for the ignition switch. If anyone has it, it would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather go with another switch so I can use a better key but if there isn't one I'll go with the stock switch. Thanks all!

    742b flywheel

I'm trying to find a used/after market flywheel for my 742b. And if anyone knows the engine displacement for the Mitsubishi engine I'd appreciate it. Thanks. email [email protected]

    Starter rebuild 742b

I'm trying to find a starter and also an alternator rebuild kit for my 742b bobcay, any ideas? They seem to think rebuilt ones are made of gold. Thanks! Don

    742b

Having trouble with my starting. Innitially the starter would occasionally not catch and just spin. It has gotten progressively worse and now almost never catches. The starter has been rebuilt once and the problem went away for a bit but returned in the exact same manner. I've been told that...
