    751 Tilt Spool

I have a grapple bucket, I will hook it up tomorrow and see what the results are. You are right and I am confounded by the same thing. Once you led me to the loose belt, the lift, tilt and drive ran smoothly...well, except for a steady stream of oil from the tilt spool....grrrrr. And then I get...

    751 Tilt Spool

I read a lot about that aux valve being the culprit of many control valve issues. But I haven't come across any tests that could define whether or not its the issue?

    751 Tilt Spool

Thanks for responding Tazza. I replaced everything on the control valve. My machine is all hard lined, so almost impossible to swap out a line, but I guess it could still happen, so I am going to go check that. This model has two other blocks. One houses the lift bypass and the other, located...

    751 Tilt Spool

Well, that didn't go as planned. So I got the control valve bolted back in, lines on, filled the reservoir back up, drove the machine up to the shop door with the bucket still up in the air, knocked the lift arm brace off, went to lower the arms and bucket and nothing. I got the arms down by...

    751 Tilt Spool

There were three sets of seals in the bag, I took the existing seals out of the spool bore and matched it up as closely as I could to my options in the bag. Of course even though this forum has offered numerous warnings about not doing a thourough job, I thought I knew better and only replaced...

Admin, if you would like, you can pull this post down. I bothered to chase down the valve control diagram and it shows no o-ring on the tilt spool back side.

    751 Tilt Spool

Hello again, So this little 751 that I am trying to make a decent machine blew a seal on the tilt spool. Easy enough to get to, and easy enough to remove from the machine, but the photos I am seeing in my 751 service manual are just slightly ambiguous as HELL. I picked up a seal kit from Bobcat...

751 Froze up! Won't move, arms won't raise, bucket won't tilt.

......the belt was loose. Adjusted the tensioner and fired it up, arms went up, bucket tilted and machine moved forward and back. Thanks for the recommendations Tazza

Would there be any simple tell-tale signs that the shaft through the pump is turning to the hydraulic pump? Other then pop open a line behind the pump?

That makes sense. But I have NO seat light now and the tilt valve is blinking 2 times....so, now I go glue that sensor on the seat, like I read you suggested to Rodbuilder a while back....maybe heat up the safety valve, as suggested by another gentleman on the same post about the sensor and it...

Gearbox! I think you might be talking about the aux valve. At one time I think the right operators handle had to be shifted left or right to engage it. I will certainly give that a try in the morning! Thanks for jogging my memory on that, and if that's the fix, somehow, I am buying you a beer...

OK, thanks for taking the time to answer, Tazza. I have watched you guys get very detailed and straighten a lot of us novices out with some incredible detail. I jumped the gun by hoping for some of the same help being sent my way. My bad.

Nothing at all? I came to this forum so confident that I would at least walk away with some sort of a direction.....and nothing? Come on guys, I REALLY need some help on this, I am completely vexed.

Thanks for answering Melli- Yes, it was leaking off one of the fittings. It had been going on for quite a while when I finally got the fitting tight enough that it would stop. The only way I can describe the grinding noise would be like if you left the brake on, or didn't push the "push to...
