I've discovered the problem..I replaced the temperature gauge because of the way it was acting...sure enough it's getting hot. Going to start with the radiator. The valve is working. It works fine, but the stress on the engine when it get's hot is enough to shut it down...more to come. Thanks...

Until it get's hot, it works fine and I do hear the squall. I hear it too right before it stalls. I spoke with a contractor friend of mine who suggested that the engine (a bit puny) may be overheating and losing power. I have been pushing her (and me) pretty hard. I will pay closer attention...
