Bobcat 731 drive chain wearing on gear reduction

Does anyone know how much chain I would need to replace all four chains? I’d rather not remove it all to find out. If I can attach the new chain with the old, that’d save me some time struggling to feed the new chain on. Thank you for everyone’s help

Bobcat 731 drive chain wearing on gear reduction

Thanks brdgblder. There is no specification or maintenance check for chain play that I can find in both the owners and service manuals. I did find that axle end play should be less than 0.013". My end play varies between each axle, but generally I'm at 0.016" - so slightly outside of spec. I...

Bobcat 731 drive chain wearing on gear reduction

Hi guys, I took my chaincase cover off to adjust the parking brake a take a look at things. I noticed that the front chains are rubbing on what I believe is the gear reduction housing? It looks like there are steel guides in front of the gear reduction, but it doesnt look like I can adjust...

Bobcat 731 charge pressure and temp sensors

Hi, It seems my sensor has failed internally and is leaking oil out. Part number is 6557449, but I cant seem to find one in stock anywhere. I'm assuming its no longer made. This is the pressure sensor that goes on the port block near the internal brass filter. Has anyone ran into this and used...

    731 spool valve seal replacement

That’s what I’m afraid of. The control block is not out but I guess I could pull it out. I guess I’m initially intimidated by it. I’ll have to check the manual to see if I start pulling stuff, how much I could mess it up.

    731 spool valve seal replacement

Hi, I have my hydrostatic pump out and all of the hand/foot controls out as well. I'm wondering if I should do ahead and replace the spool valve seals? I dont remember there being a leak, but with my luck, itll start leaking as soon as I have everything together. How difficult is it to...

    Bobcat 731 drive motor identification??

Thanks River. This help and info was extremely valuable to me - especially the oblong circle being an earlier design. I took a look at your shop. Any upcoming rebuilds, I will reach out to you for parts/service. Again, thank you! Do you happen to know how much material I can safety remove from...

    Bobcat 731 drive motor identification??

Thanks @River Fluid Power ! The wear is not terrible for the motor on the right. The slight grooves seen on the mounting flange are very minimal - enough that I feel comfortable cleaning it up with some glass and sand paper. Unless you're seeing something considerable I'm not - or advise against...
