The swing motor carrier is flooded with hydraulic fluid that’s plumbed to the swing motor case drain. If there is a leak it’s most likely from the carrier pinion seal and it’s due to excessive end play. I’m currently dealing with this for the second time. I suspect I’ve got a wore out slew ring...
