On my 1840 it was electrical. I just manually hold the pump it open when running, Turn off the key close the pump and it stops running. It opened to start but doesn’t stay open (electrical).

I have a 1840 with same problem. It turned out to be electrical. I just use a bungee to hold the fuel pump open. Runs fine. I assume as I start it, it opens and when I let go of the key no current to the solenoid and the machine shuts down.

My discharge is on the upper right of the brush hog as you sit in the skid steer. So I assume the direction of the blades is counter clockwise.

It has always started. I left it in the woods where I was processing wood for about 3 weeks. When I got back to it. Battery was dead. I tried to jump it but nothing. It cranked really well. The weird thing is that when the key is in the stop position the warning buzzer doesn’t quit. I had to...
