I bet it is a simple plug any good machine shop could manufacture you a new one if the old unit comes out in a one piece. If you are lucky you might be able to find one online.

Cheers,
I topped off the crankcase oil and put the 843 to work tonight. She performed great! I did notice the front left axle seal is leaking. Do you know if a specification for the bearing endplay exists? I feel like the bearing set is a little loose. Not wobbly out of round loose, but feels like it...
You would be amazed how much a torch can do. Try heating the outer bung with a torch. If you don't have oxy torch you can try a propane or a map gas mini torch. I use my map gas handheld torch all the time. It works great......If that doesn't work try to drill a blind hole, thread it with a left...
I thought that might be the location, but it looked a little low on the body. I assumed the fill line would be higher. Thank you for taking time to respond! I repaired the quick attach bucket mechanism tonight. The bucket no longer falls off the tool plate. I feel like everything is headed in...
Do tell me what is an easy way to check the oil in the case? I have searched through the manual, but have not found the magic location yet. I know I have an axle seal leaking, but would like to forgo spending all the money time and effort at this point. I would like to make sure it's full and...
Thanks! I will make sure to check those before putting it in any heavy work. I feel like I am at a point of no return with this project. I have invested so much time and effort into it. Hopefully we can get several years of use out of this old girl! :)
Hello! Has anyone built a custom attachment for Meyer snowplow? I removed the mold board from my EZ Mount 2 / C-8 snowplow for maintenance. It is currently sitting next to the 843 Bobcat project and I started wondering. What if I made a modular mount so the blade could be used on the truck mount...
I am relatively certain this thread has reached a dead end many moons ago. Just an update on my repair / 843 project. She finally runs! ;) Check out my channel Flat Thunder Channel
I too am not overly family with these units, but maybe I can speculate a little from a logic standpoint. You are feeding the machine with a constant value or input. Maybe the logic programming in the controller is smart enough to know that this value should never remain fixed. IE maybe it is...
Hello, I am not overly familiar with this unit. If it is a diesel engine it may have an additional solenoid to energize the glow plugs. Mine 843 has two that look identical mounted side by side; one is for the starter and one is for the glow plugs. Check out my channel Flat Thunder Channel
I took screen grab the service manual, but then I remembered I could not post pictures without a host. If you look in the manual it will outline the procedure. Lift the unit so the tires are raised off the ground, with the levers in neutral check for creep forward or backwards. Then using a rpm...
Thanks for the correction. I thought the controls were similar. Do you know what other models are similar / match the 843? Swapping the motors sounds like a good test to see if the symptoms follow the motor.
I see a inching brake. Does anyone have information or manuals on how to adjust the linkages on the inching brake / disengagement pedals? The lift works great in forward, but was struggling in reverse. I made a few adjustments and it now works 'better' in reverse. Check out the first video on...
They should have a hydraulic motor on each side (right and left sides). The drive motors are controlled with servo valves. Lift the unit and try checking the adjustment from the left side and the right side. They should be synced with each other. Sometimes strange things happen when a drive...
