I finally got to putting together some exhaust on my mitey mac 8b. I am running individual separate pipes and identical mufflers straight out the back about foot apart. My question is the forward head has about 2 ft to get it out the rear and the rearward cylinder only has about 10 inches to get...
Putting some kind of exhaust on my mitey mac 8b. it has the Onan engine. Currently only has the exhaust flanges on the engine with maybe 3" sticking up.. I bought some 1.5" exhaust piping and am wondering can I run the 2 exhaust tubes each up and into a single pipe of same 1.5" or maybe a 2"...
I mixed this to best of my knowledge. my paint on machine is good but not new.. I'm painting cage to match. 75% rust-oleum 'safety green' and 10% 'safety blue' with 15% regular rust-oleum white. Matches perfect. If your paint is faded..add more white.
The overhead on cage has 3 holes plus a key hole- outside of amp gauge what else if any is a good idea? no idea why key hole is there? my key is on side of housing by control levers. probably add utility light and use key hole for that. any input on ther gauges appreciated.
I got busy working on home projects.. and had rebuilt the lift rams.. Now I'm in process of painting cage to put back on. Skid hasn't moved yet so haven't got to it yet- Thanks!

I know you loosen the bolts on idler assembly on sides of machine but not sure if suspending it with a jack will be too tight? should I just jack up the assembly until snug then back off little? what is the procedure? thank you!
I got a green ( with red cylinders) mity-mac. The cage is painted black. I want to paint the cage green to match the body on mity-mac. anyone know of a close match?
Thought I'd try to take apart since lift rams are sitting on bench. fluid pumped out. I have the seal kits for both. They have the little set screw near end which both came out easy.. tapped the piston in inch or so to get at the snap ring inside the tube near outer edge. The snap ring is just...
Thanks Leo- I decided to just take them off. I have 2 support braces I made to keep boom up. Very heavy duty square tube about 4 ft long. they have a 'U' shaped steel cup welded on top side to cradle lower edges of boom. bucket is off. I figure with off and I can't get gland nut off at least...
