My 3 prong switch had a weak terminal so ordered another 3 prong ign switch. the old one was: ign ( red) st (black) and Bat ( grn)... the new switch says ign, st, M.. Im assuming M is starter motor. It cranks over with new switch but wont start. I switched the red and black and tried and...

I think I need to look for connection or bad switch or something. Battery stays charged on bench ( 2 weeks)..And if I run a jumper directly to starter it cranks great. but when battery was installed it just 'clicked'. after removing battery after sitting all winter it still had 11.5 volts. stays...

I got the seat out so can see starter... Do you need to pull engine or engine apart to get at starter mounting bolts? It is hard to tell but not seeing the bolts?

I have a small skid steer I park on a cement patio on side of my garage. no room inside garage. Eveytime I go to use it mice or a mouse is scooting out of it. today I started it with air cleaner off ( had to prime) and dead mouse smell filled the cab..end lots of cotton debri flew out the tube...

update: was a bad battery clamp. it had a crack in it and no matter how tight the bolt was it would get loose. poor connection. fixed that.. and that bad fuel line from fuel pump to carb replaced... runs amazing smooth now. starts immediately touch little guy. Used it yesterday to pull a fairly...

I will get to it when can. I had also bought a new 'smaller' battery due to the tight space. it has just 520 cca.. where as the bigger one had like 800cca. If I jump the new battery- it cranks over and starts.. But nothing if I don't jump other than a 'click'. Its only a 20 something hp onan-...

Thanks- as luck would have it..found my problem and was just going to update. it was a real loose and old fuel line from pump to carb. loose as clamp was slid down on hose and hose was all cracked. thank goodness it didn't spray fuel all over engine and start fire- i obviously didn't clean carb...

I replaced the fuel line and filter. I 'think' I cleaned carb last fall..But will do so again to be sure. Can the points make it run smooth then start cutting out to the point of almost killing then straightens out? I know I never touched them. Just seems to me if was points it would run poorly...

When I bought this Mighty Mac it has a full size car battery strapped on top of hydro tank with 2 bunggie cords. barely fits. it is in there long way front to rear and is only 1 inch from big power belt? What battery is suppose to be in there and where is it suppose to be mounted?
