Where are you located in Ct ? I’m here also. It doesn’t sound bad to me these engines do kinda have that sound and I can also here the lose clamp or something. But I don’t hear a rod bearing that’s for sure. Maybe a main bearing but I don’t think so either.

Yes to testing voltage . No to testing length of time But you did see the picture of it pouring blow by out of the breather tube right?

And if it’s a cold day I end up using the grid heater. It is a really big plus having that thing there. It works great. And it will stay on when I rebuild the engine shoulda had it in the first place on the IDi engines in My opinion.

I saw that written online somewhere but I also talked w 3 people w v2203 DI engines that were in 743bs and they were really happy. And they’ve been I a while. They also said , no glow plugs needed and there’s weren’t even rebuilt v2203s

I don't see how stuck valves could cause that , it would go out the exhaust or the intake (which I do think it pops back into the intake sometimes.) But I think the only way you're getting that amount of blow by is w really bad bores/rings. Did you see that pic of the blow by? It's like...

No because I didn’t have a 8 mm adaptor and I was pretty sure based on blow by that it was toast. So the blow by kinda gave it away IMO

This was a good thread helped me cause mine is starting to fall on its own too
