What model 763? Computer and four pushbuttons and LCD display, or older model with round gauges? I'm guessing the latter, since you said the meters were lighted. Expose the rear of the gauges as mmslic suggested. On my 763C, there is a bolt to loosen the housing, that's accessible from the front of the machine. Once you can get to the back of the meters, the easiest one to check is probably the voltmeter to see if voltage is actually getting to the meter. Keep us posted! ---Bobbie-GIt might be best to remove the plastic housing that they mount to so you can check that they are wired up at all / correctly. Sometimes, the little wires can vibrate loose.
It is the one with round gauges. I have no power going to the hour meter or any of the gauges. I tested for power at the key switch and have power. Is the only fuse panel the one on the right rear of machine? Thanks! What model 763? Computer and four pushbuttons and LCD display, or older model with round gauges? Don't know if this might help, but on my 743B I found a wire connector that connects the cab harness to the chassis was in bad condition, it kept most of the gauges from working. I had to replace the connector. Lift the cab and check the connectors. Bill BIt is the one with round gauges. I have no power going to the hour meter or any of the gauges. Just woundering if anyone has a wiring diagram for the gauges or has a service manual.Don't know if this might help, but on my 743B I found a wire connector that connects the cab harness to the chassis was in bad condition, it kept most of the gauges from working. I would find a service manual on ebay, hard copy like this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOBCAT-763-763-HIGH-FLOW-SKID-STEER-SERVICE-MANUAL-/222440089768?hash=item33ca7668a8:g:kMAAAOSw4DJYj40P Or you can get them on CD for about $15 hard to getalong without the manual. I got them for my 743B and the S160 from ebay, wouldn't be without it. Bill BJust woundering if anyone has a wiring diagram for the gauges or has a service manual.
I would definitely check all of the (8) fuses in the engine compartment. I have seen a few machines that have corrosion inside of the fuses. It might be best to replace all (8) fuses with brand new - ONE AT A TIME! Then try the gauges again.I would find a service manual on ebay, hard copy like this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOBCAT-763-763-HIGH-FLOW-SKID-STEER-SERVICE-MANUAL-/222440089768?hash=item33ca7668a8:g:kMAAAOSw4DJYj40P Or you can get them on CD for about $15 hard to getalong without the manual.
