I signed the paper work and the deal is pending credit approval and the demo that will arrive on Monday.

Brand new 247 MTL with full EROPS, hydraulic coupler, beep beep horn, bucket leveling, attachment electrical harness and polycarbonate front window-$44,200.00, after taxes and trade and other numbers-$23,396.30.
I can't get a used machine for that price, no way in hell.

Monthly payments will be around $740'ish @4.65% interest rate, far less than the 60 month @ 4.9% interest $1000'ish that I was paying for the T190 ***AND*** the CAT warranty is 2 years (unlimited hours) on the machine and 1 year on the tracks or 1000 hours.

Blasphemy!!!
On a serious note, i hope you like your new machine, the price seems pretty good and 2 years unlimited hours sounds even better!
Make sure you give us details when you get it and have had a *play*.

I switched due to the positive feed back I got from the ASV tracks in our area, there must be a huge difference in the soil and rock that everyone who tears these tracks up with compared to here. Bobcat's quality was getting to me, all the bucket tilt pins are worn and at the bottom of the loader arms where the tilt pins meet, that area had cracked and been since fish plated and welded on both sides, CAT's loaders seem to be much thicker there as well as the pins are in front of the loader, not inside like the Bobcat's, so there is less stress.
The only downside to going with the 247 (as the 257 is more of a comparative size to the T190) is I will loose my high flow hydraulics, but the sales rep assured me that the people in the shop can actually mod the machine so that it has high flow on it, I've read about it being done on other machines as well, but I'm in no rush. The other aspect is that the 257 is on the same engine and tracks as the 247 and I can see a huge problem with that, some people even say the the 257 is sluggish and slower, so I think the 247 is a much better deal, but I will loose 500 pounds or ROC, but sometimes you have to give up something to gain something better, and that trade off is the tracks, due to all the high speed load and carry work I get with the dumping hopper, I feel like an old man by the day's end, all those bumps and vibrations just kill me, and the ASV is smoother, a little more delicate, but smoother.
I do have to change my operating style now to avoid costly damage, but most of that is already behind me as my work methods have already changed from what they used to be.

Yup, now it's been finalized, getting me the new 247 even with a radio in it!

That's the 4-in-1 bucket from the T190, I'm keeping all the buckets and trading off the T190 with just the bucket that's pictured with it.

Well i'm sure the price trading with and without a bucket is very close. Over here i think the machines come without a bucket when you buy them but naturally you get them to add the cost of a 4 in 1 to it. You see them in the yard without a bucket.
Its a shame the rocks have already damaged some of the idlers, at least its not too bad but still....
You find tracks better suited to your jobs than tyres? i always thought tyres were a better option for the ride and because you don't need to sell your first born to replace then when they have worn out. Its rare to see a track machine over here but its not often you need to run the machine in the mud and snow is not an issue.

The rollers that have the damage are just minor cuts, nothing too big, once I went with tracks I swore off tires, I get more done with out worrying about traction.
