I had everything back together and working great. Dug some clay and gravel for 30 minutes then drove about half a mile out in the woods and pushed a decent rock out of a field and a couple of trees out of the woods road then drove out. When I got back I went to reverse and turn and noticed I have no reverse on the side I have rebuilt. It was working fine mind you until then. It starts to back up just a little, maybe 1/16 of a turn then its all gone. I have no fluid loss anywhere. Forward on that side is perfectly fine.

It is. Its almost like its slipping inside the motor itself. I wonder if the shuttle is sticking in some weird way. I checked it was free when I retimed it but maybe its worn out
Did you flush the system out good if not might just be something stuck in there if so get it before it does damage

I did but this machine has had a lot of gremlins in that particular side. I may start it up tomorrow and it works fine.
And now the bug is gone. I believe i had this happen 2 years ago too. Is it possible it was an air bubble? Maybe some other major glitch that will lead to something else failing?

I guess it could have been a sticky shuttle valve in the drive motor that is now free.
