Hey guys my lx565 is giving me a problem, I went thru a full tank of fuel during our last snowstorm then refilled it and it started acting up, so I thought the fuel was gelling up, it would run and just idle down then back up without touching the idle lever. So I changed my water fuel seperator and my inline filter and added a diesel conditioner and sum diesel 911. Started the machine up and it's a lot better but still doing it ,it won't stay at full throttle. Does it need to run for a longtime to clear out? When I brought it home to work on it I put it in my heated garage for the nite then changed the filters the next day. Any ideas? When it is running good I start to move or use h hydro licks and it will start to drop idle.

And check the vent on your fuel cap
I didn't bleed it, not sure if it has a bleeder valve, I will take the hose off at the valve and bleed that.. Which hydro valve are you talking about being stuck? And the cap looks ok, it was a little bit of rust on the bottom side and I cleaned it up and blew it off..would not bleeding it cause it to run and drop idle?

I wonder if you got a bunch of bad fuel, either straight #2 or water in it. Last week I used mine then put in a can of fuel , let it sit in outdoor shed through the 30 below weather till today when it warmed to 15 above 0. It acted the same except that if I don't work it for a couple minutes it will then go at full power for a few minutes then drop off 5 -600 rpm and very little power. Anyhow I put in power service treatment and changing filters now.
Will try it in the morning after I fix a flat on it, its in warm garage tonite so if it runs good tomorrow it was that last can of fuel. Next thing may be to put a few ounces of gas in as last resort. There was only 100 hours on the filter/water separator but what was in there did not look good.

Delly, I have not looked at the fuel cap though. If it has a vent that is iced over that could be it also but I doubt it as the engine was good and warm .

What is this valve you are removing the hose off sounds like it might be the bleeder I am talking about if it is needs to be closed after bleeding.........one mine you can bump the right stick and the aux hydro can get stuck on

Jerry mines exactly like that, but I changed everything out and it still does it, I'm gonna try it later. The hose I'm talking about goes from the filter to the fuel valve on side of engine, there's like a small bolt on top that looks like it holds down a brake line well it looks like a brake line but its a fuel line.

Does it have a round knob?

I think that might be your bleeder start the engine then it will bleed then shut it tight and make sure it is not leaking I just replaced mine if it is the same as mine it is not a shut off valve it is a bleeder valve

There is no bleeder valve on your loader. The valve is only on the Kubota engines. Talked to a guy today who could not get his loader started. He says he has fuel to the injection pump but I explained to him it might be gelled in the pump itself. Told hid to direct a heater to that side of the engine. Did not hear back from him so I assume that took care of the problem. Adding the additive does not remove the gell already there. You should add the additive before refueling so it gets mixed in the fuel. When the fuel is that cold it takes awhile for the gel to dispense. Overnight in the garage may not have been long enough to clear the system. If you have a heater you can blow heat on the left side of the engine so everything gets warmed up. Also, the aux handle on your loader does not keep it from starting but if it is engaged it will dog the engine.

I always add the power service to the fuel cans as soon as bringing them home and never have had this trouble. I'm going to try mikes plan and turn the hair dryer on the pump tomorrow before running it. Cold start was good today, no plug in, warmed it to about 120 before moving at all and it did run at operating temp for 15 min or so before acting up. Altogether ran it at temp for about a hour with no change in the trouble. try again tomorrow.

I only ran it for about 20 minutes all seems well right now. Cold start up was easy and there was no drop off in power or idle.. I did remove the air filter which had a lot of sand in there, I only removed one filter there is 2 in this machine and I started the machine with the hose that goes from the fuel/water filter to the injector pump and it had a nice flow.. Will see tommorow I will be using it for a while tommorow.. Thx guys!
