Locked up and seized up

I have a 7753 and an inexperienced operator may have damaged it. He got in and started it up and didn't press the button to get the green light by pressing the button. He kept pressure on the foot peddle(s), staining the pump. After a minute or two, the machine shut down and I asked him to get out. When I tried to restart the skid steer, it sounded like the starter was straining to turn over the engine. after a few seconds it wouldn't turn it over at all. NOW NOTHING. I won't turn over at all. The solenoid on the starter works but the engine wont' move. I cleaned battery terms, cables, etc. I've heard of "hydraulic lock". Is this likely to be my problem? Thanks

If you can move everything back and forth to release the pressure
The levers move ok. I dragged the skid steer forward and backward and it's still locked up. I had my wife sit in the machine with the levers forward as I pulled it in that direction. The wheels didn't budge and it still wouldn't turn over. Is there a better way to free it up?

Does that button unlock the brakes and that is why it loaded up? If so can you unlock them then play with the sticks to unload it?
hydro lock usually means the engine is internally full of liquid so it cannot turn over. Usually leaking head gasket fills a cylinder. It sounds more like the auxillary hyd is turned on and the battery is low. Not familiar with the machine though. Maybe park brake pin became stuck also.

you could take the drive belt off , then try and start the engine without the pumps attached , this will quickly isolate if your " lock up " is in your pumps , engine or starter system -----another starting place : you might try to remove the starter , hook jumper cables to it and spin it over while off the machine and while the starter is off use a bar or large screw driver and try to turn the engine over at the flywheel to make sure it is not locked up ---------- I have seen the gear pump on the end of the Sunstrand lock up so bad from bearing failure that it locked up everything

Naturally, the wheels arent going to turn even if you pull it. I cant remember if the 7753 has that red knob/lever on the right side of the seat, under the throttle. That is a hydraulic release that will lower the lift arms with the machine turned off, by turning the knob 1/4 turn and lifting up. It may not help in this situation, but it may release some hydro pressure buildup if that is indeed your trouble. Its worth a shot, good luck. I like the idea mentioned about removing the hydro belt.

Thanks for all of the advice. This machine doesn't have the red knob under the trhottle. It has one button under the key in operator's upper left that, after starting the engine, you can press to get a green light which engages the bucket. It also has another button in the operator's upper right that you can activate for aux. Now that I think about it, I wonder if the inexperienced guy pressed this button and, if so, whether that would have caused the issue. When I get home this afternoon, I'm going to start by releasing the tension on the belt to remove the pumps from the equasion. then I'll find out if it will trun over. If not, I'll remove the starter and do a bench test and also try to turn the flywheel. This conversation has really helped me think everything through. I'll post back what I find out this evening. Again, I really appreciate the advice and I'm definitely digging this forum.

I would check the aux button first
