Fuse missing on 763G

HI All, I just bought a used 763 G and its my first machine. I noticed the gas gauge and hour meter were not working, so I thought it could possible be a fuse. Looking at the fuse box, I noticed a few fuses were replaced with he wrong size, and one fuse spot in-particular was missing and looks like someone had crimped it together to bypass the fuse. It is the fuse marked "Engine" Im a little concerned about this and wondering if anyone has an opinion if this is ok to leave as is or should be addressed. photo(4).JPG

Need the first 7 digits of your serial number to tell for sure but the engine fuse normally supplies power to the key switch.

Its 5122257 is there a way to post a picture here? I took one of the fuse panel to post on here. The spot for the engine fuse is a little melted, and the fuse is missing and the metal female receptacles are touching as if the fuse has been bypassed. Also, I noticed there are a few other circuits with incorrect size fuses. If the hour meter is not working, temp gauge, and gas gauge are all not working, what would be the steps to take to figure out the problem? The back light and battery gauge are working. Thanks!!

Pictures have to hosted somewhere on the internet like photobucket. Then you just copy and paste the image into your post. I'll look at the wiring diagram for your serial number later this evening and see what all is on the engine fuse.

There is an auxiliary electrical plug along with the auxiliary hydraulics. I guess that would be for a snow blower attachment? It does not have high flow. Im not sure what a BOSS controller is.

Okay the engine fuse feeds the ignition switch to supply power to the starter relay and switched power relay when the key is turned. The switched power relay supplies power to the gauges that are not working. I would try temporarily swapping the brake relay with the switched power relay to see if the gauges start working. If that works then the relay that was in the switched power spot is bad. If it doesn't work then you'll have to pull the panel that the key switch is in to see if your getting power from the switch on the I terminal when the key is turned.
After seeing the fried fuse box I think someone has done some funky wiring to get the machine to start so you'll have to look for what they've done.

That one fuse holder with the melted sides has seen better days.... These are the times that people install inline fuse holders, cheaper than a new harness.

Where would I find the brake relay and switched power relay?

The relays should be mounted to a bar near where the relays were i think. They should be labeled starter, glow, brake etc.
