Bobcat 632 tire size options

Just got a new to me 632 running afer purchasing with a blown engine. It has the old 7.00x15 tires on it and they need replaced. Has anybody ever tried this size machine with 27x8.50-15 tires on it? Reason I ask, is the popular option of 10x16.5 is close to 30” tall. I was thinking the 27” tall tire would give it a tad bit more power. Any opinions on this Idea?

I had one with the 10x16.5 tires and no problems at all because of that. You don't want the narrow tires if you are going to cross softer ground or lawns with it. I had a 610 with the narrow tires and ruts were a real problem with them.

Im not implying that a 10x16.5 would be a problem. Simply that a shorter tire would increase available torque. Like adding lower gears to a truck to pull easier. They also make a 27x10.50-15, but I would have to widen my wheels. I found some 16.5 wheels for mine, but they are RUSTY and need a little elbow grease as well. Yeah, I could spend some money on new wheels, but my labor is free.

The small diameter would give you a little more torque, but it will also lower your ground clearance too. Your bucket cut position will be raised as well, just things you'd need to think about when using it with smaller wheels.
