80's 530 hydraulic oil in my engine

The hydraulic/hydrostatic system isn't connect to the engine crankcase so you must have two separate problems.

Pull the engine oil dipstick and see if it smells like gasoline. The float in the carburetor may be sticking causing gas to get into the crankcase when the engine isn't running.

If you can't find any visible hydraulic oil leaks pull the chaincase fill plug and see if the chaincase is overfull. One of both of the hydrostatic motor carrier seals may be letting oil into the chaincase.

no i checked im getting hydro oil into my engine on my 530 the onan is coupled directly to the engine it has to be comming through there

Im sorry my onan engine is coupled directly to hydro.
530 should be a Kohler K582.
I guess if the seal on the coupling end of the hydrostatic pump was leaking it could be forcing oil thru the engine crankshaft seal but I've never heard of one doing that. I would think that you should have some oil leakage where the pumps bolt to the engine. I'd pull the engine and see if the coupling area is full of oil.

I have a 530 also, and it keeps making engine oil. I thought it might be gas at first, but think it now might be hydraulic oil. And this thing is a pooch with no power!
