Hello, I have a bobcat 743 that is hard to move it's not moving a all really. It is making whining noises like it is in a bind. I have read some things about a filter in a block mine doesn't have this block. I have also had both drive motors replaced and bleed the system through a plug on top of the pump with a line leading back to the tank no more air bubbles in the system. All lines a fittings seem to be not leaking. The fluid level is okay. Before I replace the hyd. pump does anybody have any ideas? Thanks

You should check the charge pressure at the pump, there should be a sender screwed into it, remove it and install a 200PSI gauge. It should be 90-120 psi from memory.
Have you changed teh hydraulic filter?
As you did the motors already, it may be the pump. You can fully re-condition it for under 1k. Even less if it has only worn the wear plates.

Thanks for the info. I will change the hyd filter and check the pressure and get back with you. Thanks again

I used to have an OLD bobcat 743 that started having these same symptoms. Could barely move, really whined, really would only move inches at a time and only then when you just tried to creep ahead. Hydrostat was shot, ended up was gonna cost more to replace it than what the machine was worth, sold it for the first $1500 I could get.
