I picked up the 440b and it runs and works great. The only down side is the steel base to seat is rusted an seat is not bolted in properly. Does anyone know if I can buy preformed steel replacement parts or will I have make my own? The rest has some surface rust ( which they painted over) but all in all very solid. I have the feeling someone parked this outside and just let water sit in cab area. The flor and controls all seem solid as well. It is just the seat area that needs replacement. Thanks

all the parts should be available though bobcat, without knowing which parts are pad you may be able to get some aftermarket
Yes, but think this is the piece of the main frame the seat rails would bolt too. I don't see that as a separate part in bobcat catalog. I can make a replacement, but was wondering if like cars you can find pre fabed piece parts that can be welded into place vs. replacing the entire piece.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Seat-pan-bobcat-wheel-track-loader-C-F-G-k-series-skidsteer-/251237761239?pt=BI_Heavy_Equipment_Parts&hash=item3a7ef000d7 The one in my 873 is the same way, I oiled it up to stop the rust. Most of the time its from a damaged seat holding water and the machine living outside.

Thanks. I lifted the cab some and saw it was part of that assembly earlier today and not part of the main frame. This is exactly what I was looking not sure it is same size as smaller ones but means it does exist and the cab is much easier assembly to work

Seat pan rusted out on mine too. I replaced it with a generic one that I picked up cheap. Had to drill two new holes in the base to make it fit, but it works fine.
