I haven't been on here for a while- primarily because the skidsteer has been running good. I use our 87 743 for a horse farm, moving shavings and keeping up with the manure piles. So, I don't put that many hours on the machine. I have noticed within the last two weeks an issue with the right side drive- sometimes, and I can't seem to find what instigates it, I will get no response. For instance, I can start to back up and turn left, and I will get nothing. Then, it will take off and turn. It almost feels like it is in a bind, although I don't believe that it is. Everything runs quiet, with no excess chain or bearing noise. Is this a symptom of a drive motor going out, or something else? Except for when it happens, and it will do it in both directions (but only the right side), both sides have equal power and steering input.

Does it do it all the Time? Sounds like it is in the motor. There is a valve in there that might be sticking.

No, it doesn't do it all the time. It is pretty sporadic, and there isn't something that you can do to trigger it. If I were to pinpoint any given situation where I could predict the issue, it would be after traveling for a little bit, say 20 or 30 feet, and then stopping to reverse direction. It will hesitate then, but not always...
