Well, finally had a chance to check the glow plugs. First i made sure they were getting 12 Volts, which they were. Then i took the rear one out. Put the ohmmeter on it and it was open. Took the next one out, open, the third out, open. Then had to take the fuel lines off to get to the last one, and it was also open. Has anyone ever seen all 4 plugs go bad??? I guess it makes sense though, since i have had it, it will only start when it is warm. If it sits for more than 6 or so hours it takes for ever to start. Found some new ones for 6 bucks each from spark plugs .com Ill update if that fixes the problem. Its not unheard of. If the relay was stuck or someone glowed it too long they would burn out too.

Well, while im waiting for the new glow plugs trying to get everything else ready. Changed oil/filter today. Want to do the hyrdo filter next but I noticed i have a few small hydro leaks at connections. One at the auxillary couplers, and one on the right arm which looks like it is going to be tough to get to. Would Teflon paste be good to try and stop these little leaks? Any tips for getting to the ones on the arm near the top pin? Also would like to replace the bleeder valve for the fuel system. Anyone know where i can get this part? Bobcat my only option? Thanks again for all the help guys.

I would think you could get that part from a kubota dealer. It is like $35 from bobcat if I remember right.

Congratulations on purchasing the best skid ever made,i have done over 10,000 hrs on a 743B and know there will never be a machine built like it ever again.The 743B in Australia was a phase out model when the 753C was introduced and many people were reluctant to move from a machine which they knew was so reliable and had fantastic longevity.Mine was a 1995 model and was the very last of the series and had the engine shut off on the key unlike yours which is cable stop,your oil drain hose is the same as what was factory here.Look after it as you will never find a more reliable skid.Bulletproof!!!

Found the bleed valve from a kubota dealer for 14 bucks. Glow plugs are on the way, now just need to find a few spare hours to get it back together this week

Make sure the glow relay is not sticking, i'd hate for you to cook your new plugs.
It sure will make a difference with starting!

something about these old ones dont get excited if compression is low, if it starts and runs all good (DO NOT ETHER) get glows working might have to cycle twice or even three ,

Just an update, got the new glow plugs in and it fired right up. Couldn't be happier. Got all the pins greased, oil changed, just want to fix a few leaks on the line couplings and should be good to go.
