I have a Bob Cat 853. Inside the cab in the upper right is the instrument panel. Fuel gage Battery Voltage Engine Oil Pressure Engine Coolant Temperature level I had started it up and was using it for only about 20 minutes, when I heard the warning beeping. I had heard this only had this once before, and that’s when I was low on fuel. I have over a half tank of fuel and was operating the machine on level ground at a slow speed when it started to beep. I did not get any SERVICE CODES. My question what is the Engine Coolant Temperature level supposed to look like? The Flue indicates a half tank The battery is about half The oil pressure was all the way to the top * The engine Coolant Temperature level was bottom lined. Is the Engine Coolant Temperature level supposed to be bottom lined? Thank you

being as the 853 is not an ex //////but a skid steer i would assume a boss led upper right panel led. and no its not but 9 out of ten on the boss is sender. ground it see if display changes,

BOSS displays are almost impossible to read. The coolant temp is the same little blocks and I would say never over 1/2 way. Is it overheating? If the cooling fan isn't turning, they will over heat very quickly. With it running is there air blowing out the sides?

What do think, B Dan. Busted fan belt, maybe tensioner, fan drive/fan an issue. Seen a drive mess up a fan. Plugged cooler. Thinking this a duetze engine. Engine oil cooler and hydo oil cooler.

853 ran Iszues ( if people havn't notice yet I can't spell) not the deutz. The does sit in sidways and has the fan belt tensionor like other models. Fan belt tenionors are prone to wear and if not checked will wear the side of the pulley off. If the fan is not spinning, there is no natural air flow across the radiator. Radiator could need a cleaning too f never done. 853 have a normal antifreeze cooling system. The last 853 I worked was over heating and the pulley for the fan gearbox fell off. If the thing is going into shut down, first a person has to figure out why it is commanding shut down. BOSS is a crappy system, but I won't condem it unitl Iknow there are no other problems.

Sorry about the duetze/Isszue thing. Sounds like he doesn't have the "BOSS" display. Maybe idiot lights on the left panel? So that would be Charge pressure"transmission",and eng light. Could be coolant temp, oil Pressure. I have a question about that. If none of the gauges/ lights work. What's the problem?

If none of the gauges work first I would look at the wiring behind the dash, all of it likes to rot off.
