Hi, new to the forum so please bare with my limited knowledge of the machine. I have done small amounts of work on the machine with filters and all, but don't know how to troubleshoot this one. I had a leak on my hydraulics and figured out where it was coming from. If the cab was up looking on the left side there is a control valve, I guess you call it, and it was located on the back. It had a plastic green cap that covered it 1 5/8 diameter. I removed the two 3/16 allen head bolts that held it on and there was a small diameter hole in the piece I removed. I felt a spring that pressed against the piece I took off so I figured it was some sort of a relief valve for the pressure? If someone could give me some guidance on what to do I would appreciate it cause this is a side work kind of a thing and I can't afford anyone to fix it. controll valve spool seals , you will find threads on how to change them , the spools have to be disconnected in the front of the valve and slide out the back , the hole you mentioned is suppose to be there , the spring is a center spring , the green capped spool is the tilt , the one under it is the boom , if you are going to seal one you should do the other at the same time as you will be right there , what ever you do don't take the screws out the boom spool rear cap and pull the cap off , there are detent springs that will go flying out , that spool needs to be pushed thru from the front and the cap stay in place , the parts to fix that are cheap if you never done it before I'd think 4 hours to do both spools , it can be done in 2 -------you need to take the cowl out , that is the piece that the steering levers are connected to , the boom should be up and safety barred before starting ---------- there are threads that go into more detail if you look
you the man fishfiles, I'll call bobcat and get em' on order first thing in the morning...give me a few days to get to it though. Single dad and hard to occupy a 3 year old curious girl for that long
Thank you again sir, you'll be the first to know how it goes.First of all you the man as stated before, it was really simple with your instructions and helping me understand what "those things" were. It took no time to get everything loose, but the rod didn't wanna come out so I left it and slept on it for a bit before I started to bang on it. The more I thought a bout it I thought about how it locked and I climbed the arms, flipped the bar down, and hit the unlock button. It slid out like a dream. I forgot to mention that I pull the back off that you said not to do what-so-ever after attempting to move the tilt rod; yeah, don't wanna do that again...that was a not needed trip to the ole bobcat parts dept. for a handful of those pretty little BB's hahahaha. She's runnin' smooth now thanks to you. Is there anything else I need to look for going bad on it-related problems. I've replaced hydro pump, fuel lines, fuel pump, all filters, removed all pins to "drill out dirt" so they would take grease (not kiddin'), and now this.you the man fishfiles, I'll call bobcat and get em' on order first thing in the morning...give me a few days to get to it though.
