If I get 20 tons of item 4 dumped on my drive will I be able to do a reasonable job of spreading it with the skidder?

I don't know what item number 4 is, but i see no reason why not. The way i spread dirt or gravel is to dump it and spread it out the best i can then back over it with the bucket tilted forward to make it smooth so its ready to roll in. Works for me.

Item 4 is a dirt & gravel mix that compacts well. Its used a lot around here for dirt roads and driveways. I have no roller (yet).

That will be like what i use. I dump it in hollows then with the arms fully lowered i tilt forward and drag back. Its sort of like a leveling bar, but will not cut, it will only smoosh the dirt around. Its rough, but it makes for a nice finish. I do have a smooth edge bucket. A tooth bucket will work, but it will leave lines behind from the teeth.
