Hey all , Russ from Elkton Md . New to skid steers. Just bought a 98 Skat Trak 1300c. for $8,000. Seems to be in good condition. Runs perfect ,starts right up and no leaks. Lots of power. My other machine is a Kubota B2710 compact tractor. This skid steer has way more power than the kubota. Well I'm using it mainly at my house ,got some acers to take care of .I already bought a screw type splitter for it so I've been playin with that.

I fixed your picture.
What is the attachment you are using? it loks like an auger drive, does it screw into the log to move it? looks interesting.
The quick couplers, could they be frozen up on the hoe attachment? or could there be pressure in the lines in it? can you crack a fitting and see if it will push into your machine?
It could be as simple as a different brand not wanting to play with the other one?

My quick disconnects used to give me a terrible time until I realized that you've got to completely bleed the pressure out of the lines before connecting them. I usually engage and disengauge the PTO several times, with the engine off... that always lets the pressure out.
Here's a quick check I learned when connecting quick disconnects and they just won't engage... push on the nipple in the tip of the male connector... if you can't push it in with your fingernail then it's under pressure. Release the pressure and the connectors should snap together easily. (Of course this assumes that the connectors are compatible to begin with)
