Hi everyone thank you for trying too elp me i really appreciate it I recently bought a bobcat 632 with the lovly 1.6 ford motor. I bougth it an owner told me all it needed was a starter. ok i believed him. Put starter in no Spark thou. So i then replaced the coil ,cap ,rotor, pionts. plugs wires. Great nowi have spark but still no start. I also changed the ignition switch its self due to te fact it was hard to turn. So now i have spark but wont start. I seen this small sut off valve that was in line . when i touced the wires running to it they crumbled. so i tryed just dribbling a small amount of fuel in two of the cyclinder an start it but still no luck. Any thougt would be great . i think tommorow ill check compression. IS there some kinda safty or somting im overlooking????? Please help im really getting fed mup with this this thank you agin for helping

Depending on how long it has been sitting since it last ran the rings could be stuck in the piston grooves. A compression test will give you a idea of whats going on. If the compression checks out try spraying some starting fluid in the carb. If you have spark and the timing is correct then it should at least try to start. If it does then I'd pull the carb and give it a good internal cleaning. If the shut off you're talking about is on the side on the carb then it shuts off the fuel flow when the key is turned off and needs to be working for it to run.

Will not run on starting fluid or gas being poured in the cyclinder

If it won't fire on starting fluid, you need to check compression....
Make sure the aux hydraulics are not on making it crank slower too, Grab the right lever, pull it to the left and let it spring back.
Is it a good blue spark?

Yes it has a really good spark. Does anyone have an idea wht the compression should be around??

Is it a possiblity the timing chain jumped??
Entirely possible you have a mis-timed chain. These little motors use a spring loaded chain tensioner that could have failed. Pull the motor and put on the full pan gasket afresh or plan on oil leaks. Ask me how I know. Dick
