Hi All
Sorry about all my 763 questions,,,
I want to re-do the TOP pin holes on the tilt cylinder this winter, I re-machined the lower boss holes on the bobtach and it worked out good, but the top pin is different, it has a bolt going thru the pin, and boss before I start I would like to know if the top pin is easy to remove ? anything to look out for?
Also last winter I could not get heat into the Cab, after some investigation, I found that the restrictor plug between the bypass hose was missing, I added a longer pc of hose and crimped it to allow hot water to flow into the Cab heater Radiator, (tons of heat in the cab now), but does anyone know why Bobcat uses this restrictor plug? and should I order one and put it back in

Machining the upper bosses for the tilt cylinder is easy enough. Mine were so bad that i needed to cut the bosses out and weld new ones in. Remove the bucket to lower the load on the ram. Simply punch the pin oit, it should be very easy to remove. I locked my arms up a little and braced the bobtach.

The top pin boss is not as bad as the bobtach was, but it's for sure loose, I think once they get loose they really start to slap around and wear even more,
I added the rubber seals in the lower pin as per the bobcat manual, it's no wonder these pins wear so badly, the seals are good, but the design (chamfer) on the rod end is bad, I can't see that lower seal lasting too long.
thanks again, I just don't know what I would do without you guys, and this forum, I just would not have the guts to take on these jobs, I have expertise in many other fields, but this bobcat, is like nothing I have ever worked on.

It sure is a steep learning curve isn't it?
I know when i started attacking my first machine, i had no idea what i was doing, but it doesn't take long to pick it all up.

The resrtictor in the heater hose is to force hot water to the heater core, but allow for some bypass when the temp control is set for no heat. I believe it was just a small piece of copper, about the size of a penny, with about a 1/16" hole in it

I will have to get that restrictor plug from the Bobcat dealer, and get it installed, I kept the cab heater core valve open all summer just to be safe, but it's not very good, as the heater core still starts to heat the cab even with the fan off
