Hi, I am a newbie. I have a bobcat 732 which will not lift the bucket anymore. It will lift all the way up with the bucket detached but moves very slowly. It comes down at normal speed. I notice the engine does not appear to be under load when I attempt to lift. The tilt works fine and at normal speed even under load so I do not believe it is a pump issue. I'm wondering if the lift port relief valve could be the issue. I am not a mechanic but have been spending alot of time on this bobcat in the past month. I had to rebuild the rear drive pump as it was leaking from pintle cover. I also found a leak in the control valve. I removed and replace all the o-rings I could find. This resolved the leak but did not help with the lift. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is the aux hydraulics stuck on? pull the right lever all the way to the left and let it spring back to centre.

Sounds like you are correct6 about the port relief. I think you can remove the port relief valve and check it for debris. I don't think it's adjustable, but maybe you could swap with one from the tilt and see if the problem changes.

Tazza, I tried playing with the aux control again last night and if I hold it all the way to the left the lift works as normal. Any ideas what is going on? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Actually I have to hold it to the right not left.

If you have to hold it left and it will not hold(detent) to the right the aux spool could have and may be your problem. Have you checked the linkage to be sure it is not binding or broken?

Yes, I checked the linkage at it is good.

Really study that linkage, on my 632 the aux would not engage fully or stay in detent because of a large hyd hose back by the valve putting pressure on it.

I guess it could be possible the spring under the alloy cap on the control block for the spool is broken. This will cause the spool to not centre and it can cause issues like this. Does the end of the spool where the linkage attaches look like its sitting about the same distance out as all the others?

Yes, all three spools line up and center.
