One of my levers has broken whatever it is that attaches the lever to the spring and the actual latch dog that holds the bucket on. But just what the heck is it? It has a head with a hole in it, but it isn't a hex screw. Drive it out or unscrew it or what? I expect it would be easier to see with the bucket off, but I'm hesitant to take it off for fear it won't go back on right now. Thanks in advance.

1990 model by the way.
There were 2 different styles of Bobtach on the older models. Here are the parts breakdowns. Tell us which part you are asking about.

The parts list says that is a socket head bolt.
Here's a link to the full size image that you can zoom in on for a better look.

It looks like mine has had a run in with a reamer, the wrong size Allen wrench, or maybe just too much manure and "stuff" over the years. The hole is round now, but at least I know what I'm dealing with. Thanks very much, OM. I appreciate it and you've made my job easier. I didn't want to just start beating or twisting without knowing which was likely to be useful and which was likely to be destructive.
