Hi y'all, Say, my machine tends to creep (in a slow right turn) when it is parked. The problem is worse when it first starts and is warming up. I have a service manual and am thinking about tackling the steering adjustments. I have not secured a remote start switch yet (haven't priced one yet either). Any advice before I tackle this would be appreciated. Thanks, John
 
The remote start is not required. Block it, start the engine and lift the rops, do the adjustment as outlined in the manual. You may need to do it a few times to get it right though, good luck! they can be a pest, but take your time and don't give up.

Hi Tazza, Thanks for the pointer on starting, I will give that a try. How often are worn parts the problem as opposed to just an adjustment? Or do the two go hand in hand? Not sure how soon I will tackle this but I will certainly put in a reply to let everyone know the results when I finally get it right. John

For the steering, the stops wear over time, thats how the adjustment gets out. If you close up the gaps from the wear it will hold, but again when it wears it will move. Parts are reasonably easy to replace, they are not internal pump parts, they are all on the outside and made of hardened steel so they last longer. You have a flat stop plate and two round 'pucks' that sit on the plate to hold neutral. They rub in the dust and slowly wear ruts in both surfaces. The rectangular plate can be turned 180 degrees to give another good flat side (if not already done).
