I have a LX 985 Skid Steer that will stay running when a Loaner Electronic Instrument Cluster Board is put in and mine taken out, so I know the issue is with the Board, I would like information on who to contact for working on the Board. I also need a few parts, could use a Door Pin with mount and also Door Handle with Inside and Outside Components. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And Thank You. Victoria

I moved your post to the NH section.
As far as I know the only place to get a new board is from New Holland, I don't believe there is anything that can be repaired on that part. www.messicks.com has a online parts manual where you can look up parts and prices.
The only good news I do have for you is that unlike Bobcat, NH used the same board in all their model over many years, so you may have a chance of finding a good used one. Also if the cost of the board is more then you want to spend on the machine, a competant auto mechanic could wire in aftermarket guages and get the machine to run again.

The New Board was quoted at almost 700 dollars to replace with New, so I'd like to find a way to refurbish this board if possible, or like you said find parts from used sales. I know with Automobiles their computers can be reworked and rebuilt computers are sold for autos, so I was hoping someone did this for the Skid Steer Boards. If I had a schematic of the Board or Card whatever you call it, that would help me. In the New Holland Operators Manual under the Trouble Shooting section there is wiring diagrams that fold out, I don't know if those are just for the wiring harness or for the EIC Board. Where can I find a schematic of the EIC Board? Please advise. And Thank You. Victoria

I contacted New Holland in Canada, they gave me someone local to me to try and get the diagram from for the Skid Steer, I called them and they are supposed to send me out a copy in the next couple of days, don't know yet if that's what I have in my Operators Manual or not. I did a google Search using New Holland electronic repair, if you do that you'll see what I found, a couple differnt listing, one I think that fits the bill is Farmtronics, so I'm calling them tomorrow when they're open, and I'll see where I go from there Tomorrow. So I think I am making progress and headed in the right direction, hope so, anyway. Victoria

i just got an eic board off ebay. the business was called apco. they are located in north las vegas. the number is 1-800-574-4089. the guy i dealt with was lance. saved over 250bux on an oem ls160 board. also, i had been researching board repair. i found a company called bba-reman.com they actually have new holland listed as a board they can repair. they have an 800 number you can call. i made the call and talked to customer service and they confirmed they work on NH boards. i then called back to reconfirm, but this time asked to talk to a tech, and he said they repair the boards as well. my board was going out to them, but then i stumbled onto apco. hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll call BBA tomorrow, I called Farmtronics today, and depending on the part number and damage they do rebuild or reman with a year warranty for 329.00 is what I've found out so far, there are 4 different part numbers for this part, so I have to take the piece and look it over real good and see if I can find its part number to know if its one they can work on. I have a 1999 NH LX 985 that began having issues with the Dash Board too.

I know this is old, but I still would like to revisit it to see suggestions/solutions.
Pretty sure I read elsewhere about a Silver Lettered dash board vs a Gold faced one.

Thank you Shanmar,

I spoke to that guy today, and somewhere I had gotten his details about a month ago. He and I had also spoken then.
He is sending me some info in email. The worst part about him or the needed part is the freaking price.

I prefer to buy whole cars, trucks, mowers, machines for that price, not cobbed together fixes for a part that should have been designed right in the first place.

I do not know if they are still doing it , but pre-Covid Agexpress Electronics in Des Moines Iowa would rebuild the gold version only and would not touch the silver one with the proverbial 10 foot pole.

Thank you, moreorles2, I will look into it.
I sent them an email to inquire.

Also, welcome to the forum, it looks like we both have low message counts even though it says you joined in 2017.
