My house is about 5 or 6 miles from my farm. The roads are all gravel, other than time ..... are there any disadvantages to driving my 873 from the house to the farm? Is it not good for them to drive that far? I don't have a trailer or truck big enough to pull it. Almost always it will be used around the house acreage but a couple of weekends a year it would be nice to have it at the farm. Thanks,

It would do that run just fine, its just it will take you about 30 minutes to drive that far....

Thanks Tazza, Right now a trailer and bigger truck is not an option. The time would not be a big deal to me as I would not be doing it but a few times per year. Keith

Its really just like a car, only big, heavy and SLOW. There is no reason anything would be harmed, its far less load than digging into a pile of dirt :)
Even better if its not you doing the driving, can be a bumpy ride.

If you have a 2-speed 873 you may be able to get there in 30 minutes in high range. It you have a single speed 873 it will only do 7-8 mph. So it may take you closer to an hour.
The first time I took mine for a “road trip” I was surprised how long it took. My jogging speed is faster than my 763.

I thought that after i replied. I had 12 in my head, but that was km/hr not miles, my bad!
Either way, it will be a slow bumpy ride.

No it is not a 2 speed. It will take just under an hour but like I said, for a time or two per year, buying a trailer and bigger truck isn't worth it. :)
