I'm a first time user of the forum and I'm having a problem with my 763. It ran ok yesterday, but today it starts I engage hydraulics and nothing then it starts beeping and the hydro charge light flashes, then after less than a minute. I start it back up no problem, same thing. Then the seat belt bar light was on while it was down, I checked all fluids, no problem. Then after several tryies it started working, I used for about 15-20 minutes then it shut down again and won't engage hydraulics again. ?????????? I did notice after that 15-20 minute run, it was making an overheating noise for a minute (boiling radiator noise)??????

It could be many things.....
You said you engaged the hydraulics, is this the aux hydraulics or just lift and tilt?
The radiator bubbling sound could have been air, hopefully it was. The thermostat could be stuck closed allowing it to over heat and boil. What was the temperature gauge reading?
The charge pressure warning, this could be low charge pressure or simply a bad pressure sender.
When the machine shuts down, its for a safety reason or its trying to save its self from doom! low charge pressure can destroy your pumps, high temperature can destroy your pumps and motors. High coolant temp or low oil pressure can destroy your engine. Its just a precaution, if its not in spec it shuts down to save you repairs.
Your best bet is to start on one problem and work from there.
Is your seat bar down? and sititng in the seat? can you lift and tilt? how about drive, is the park brake disengaging on its own?
The beeps you are telling me about, i assume its a BOSS machine, so it has a bar graph display on the right dash? or does it have a black box on the right next to the seat?

Maybe a problem with the belts? if the alt belt goes you'll have overheating and electrical issues. What series 763 is it?

Its a Bobcat G series I don't have any aux attached just lift & tilt bucket Temperature reading was in the green. Could it be thermostat if temp gauge ok (green) What will cause low charge? a bad pressure sender? I do remember the day before the problem started that when trying moving the unit (wheels) and operate the bucket at the same time it was sluggish on the hydraulic (bucket) operation. The seat bar was down, parking brake off. Can't lift or drive. a bar graph display on right dash. I looed at pic flashing in book and it says it's hydro charge display Yes the display panel in

If your temperature gauge shows the temperature was in the green you should be ok for the cooling system, i wouldn't worry too much about that.
The drive belt is possible.... Ensure the belt is tight, it still should be tight enough to get the bucket to lift and tilt though but when you drive or put it under load it slips but you never know. If the pump isn't spinning you will have no charge pressure either, so its possible.

I was thinking maybe alt belt problem but if temp is staying in green??

Its still possible the main drive belt slips every so often causing problems when under load. When its not, it will spin the cooling fan without a problem. If the belt was only slipping you would hear and smell it! and nothing would work, no drive or hydraulics. This is the large 3 V belt behind the plastic cover on the left hand side.

Thanks to all. It runs again! DUH, it was the main belt. I thought it was ok but didn't look at it when the bobcat was running. The Asheville bobat mechanic walked me through the troubleshooting and voila! the pulley wasn't turning. The give away was no fan movement blowing air out the side vents.
