Fax you list of parts to a few dealers for a quote, you will find the one who want your business. Bobcat state it “allows their dealers the freedom to set their own price.” -from their web site. That tells me to shop around, parts ship pretty cheap, out of state will even save you taxes, which may cover your freight.Skiddy - send me an e-mail “taz38sup at yahoo.com.au” at = @ of course.
Some parts you may be able to get after market, i have re-built a 743 that is pretty close to the machine you are working on. I may have some options for you.
Mark from IM bobcat in Salt Lake City is very good too, a few members in here use him for parts. Its worth a phone call!
Ken, the big dollar parts he is after are alt. exhaust manifold, water pump, dizzy and fuel pump. Its a 642B so i'm assuming a mitsibishi engine, but i can't remember what car they were run in. From memory they were 1.6L and the parts were available off the shelf at auto parts stores. The only difference was the govenor.Fax you list of parts to a few dealers for a quote, you will find the one who want your business. If it runs the Korean made Mondo alt, then yes a delco fits. Not sure what year Bobcat started with them but them have been on most every machine from early 90s on. Kinda forgot that was a gas/ petrol engine, would be better to search for used machines that used that motor. The alt i remember you saying you can get a delco to drop in, but i assume this is for Kubota, but it may be the same for the Mitsubishi.....
Faxing parts price requests is a very good idea too.
Thanks for the help so far. the motor is a mitsubishi 4g32. these motors were in several cars and pickups but external parts are way way diferent per make of car and model. dodge colts and mitsubishi lancers and many others. I went to a parts house and looked at a distributor and a water pump................... way way diferent than what I have. starter is not the same either. seems to me that the block is the same and that is it. some parts may fit but if I order them I need to know what fits what. Bobcat advertises this motor as 32 HP and mitsubishi advertises it as like 125 in the fuel injected lancer or something. this motor was popular in forklifts also. The machine shop that did the machine work on my motor supplied me with a complete overhaul gasket set and to give you guys an example there are 4 different front cast alum assembly gaskets in the kit. I think this motor was a work horse that was used in many many different configs. Ant additional help is appreciated. If it runs the Korean made Mondo alt, then yes a delco fits.
