2000 240 no hydraulics

Hey guys, working on a customer's 2000 JD 240 and ran into an issue. It normally isnt used during the winter months here in northern MI, but their tractor went down so they were going to use it to finish moving snow. He got in to start it and battery was dead. Then tried jumping it from his truck and it would slowly crank over 2-3 revolutions and stop. I assumed this was from having heavy oil that has sat in the snowy cold the last couple months. I went out and was able to get it fired up jumping it from another battery as well as a jump pack. It still turned slow but was enough to fire it. Oil pressure light was on for approx. 5 seconds. I assume do to the cold heavy oil. I let it warm up for a few min, got in, buckled the belt and clicked off the parking brake switch. Went to raise the bucket and nothing happened. No pump noise or anything. Same with when I try to move the sticks. Theres no feeling of the pump pushing back or any noise at all. Any thoughts or am I missing something simple?

Hello from Michigan! My first guess is the input shaft or coupler. Possibly both.

Thanks! Are they difficult to get to on these? Obviously under the cab but to my knowledge the lift arms have to be up to lift the cab. Is there a release for the hydraulic fluid so I can lift them with a tractor?

I do not know if there is a release. You could try having someone in the cab hold the controls in the lift position as if you’re raising the arms and see if that allows the tractor to raise it. You’ll have to pull the pump back to inspect the coupler and shaft I don’t think you’ll be able to see otherwise. Unbolting the plate (5B) MIGHT be the easiest way.

I don't mean to insult you however, is there a switch under the seat that may have had a visit from the mouse party? Or possibility of a bad connection between the seat belt and the safety switch.
