Does anyone have the PN for the entire distributor that fits the 1.6l ford motor from Petronix? I spent an hour on the phone with them last Friday trying to look up a kit for my distributor but the PN has been ground off my unit where the previous owner removed the vacuum advance from the unit.

Please and thank you.

Not sure if you want the Bobcat part number or some other number but here is a link to the Bobcat parts catalog:

If I remember correctly, the closest engine for parts was the “Ford Kent” which was a European car.

I have the bobcat PN. That number does not cross to anything pertaining has in their catalogue. The distributor that was originally in the machine was an Autolite. The original is full of stress fractures and is not working properly. I fount the original Bosch PN for the distributor as well and that one does not cross over any longer. I am just hoping someone is like me and keeps junk forever and has an original Petronix PN that works on these engines that I can call and get ordered

I do not have first hand experience, but I saved a part number that was in this forum a while back. It is the Pertronix D190600. I would call Pertronix and give them this part number to reconfirm it fits the ford industrial engine for the Bobcat 632. At summit racing the notes for this distributor indicates

“Fits 1.0L-1.6L Ford Kent engines. Top exit cap”

Previous forums here indicated that the 632 Bobcat has the Ford Kent industrial 1.6 liter engine. At least that gives you a starting point. This is the URL for summit racing. Best of luck and post what you find out.

For what it's worth, D190600 is the Pertronix part number i have on file from my searching a few years ago for my 732 - I still have it saved to a list on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004OXHRKK
For what it's worth today, I did just purchase the distributor linked here from Amazon. It's on sale right no AND there's a 25% off coupon good until 12/29 that brings the price to $185. It won't arrive until the end of the month and I don't know when I'll get around to installing it but will let y'all know how that goes.

I came here today to ask for help with my ignition problems.

Here is my 2 cents, hope it helps. I have a 632 with a 1.6L Ford also. Mine has a Bosch distributor, P/N 71BB ANB 8MA. And i installed a Pertronix 1241LS.

That one from the UK is A WHOLE LOT CHEAPER that the $200 Pertronix one!

Good luck with it. I'll be watching this as i am having distributor issues also. I am going to make my own thread for that one.

I talked with Petronix and we came to the D196500 with mechanical advance, top exit and 12V negative. So far this has worked wonderfully for my machine.
