I have a 2022 bobcat t550 , came from auction.... it had been near some heat that melted work lamps on front, cracked the seat cover and distorted some of the interior panels... machine runs fine with no issues to speak of but there are some random codes that will come and go... M4044 for the aux hydraulics... joystick codes and some fuel related codes that will come and go.... had the machine at dealer and they could not figure out the culprit.. even ordered a new gateway controller that did not fix the issue... everything with the harness according to tech checked out.... anyone have any suggestions???

Could it possibly be a fault in the display itself?

Your AUX Controller is bad. Roll back your Cab, look on the LH side of the machine, look at the grey controller, look in the upper right corner, what number is there or take a picture of the tag.

Sorry I meant lower RH Number.
M4404 is 99.9% a bad AUX Controller. But you need to go back to the Dealer because they need to program it.
Maybe a other Dealer, unbelievable that they can not figure it out. That is a common issue with that code

this morning I used the machine and grapple bucket for about 20 minutes, M4404 came on, unhooked the bucket and put on regular bucket, continued to run the machine about 45 mins moving some dirt and fill rock, no codes, no issues,,,,

These AUX controller have issues with soldering getting loose inside, when the controller warms up the codes pop up.
Common problem
