Newbie here to the forum, I appreciate the knowledge of all the members. I did search through the posts and didn't find what I was looking for.
Bought a 2054 (900hrs) recently and happy with it so far, except the hand controls are somewhat stiff or difficult to move. They require more force that what I believe is supposed to be required. It's not temperature related as we have run it in +20C to -20C.
We disconnected the cables from the valve pack and the cables move freely. So we switched the right hand control (bucket tilt) and the right foot control and it is much easier to control. Because the left foot pedal is stationary I am not able to move the left hand control there or I would and just operate the bucket as foot pedals.
I am thinking it is the build of the hydraulic control valves. All the hydraulic movements and flow seems to be normal. It is a parker valve pack not the original Gresen pack, which I believe bought out Gresen. I am wondering if it is possible to change out springs in the actual valves with different tensions to make the controls easier to maneuver? Or maybe there is an adjustment that I am missing (i couldn't see one and the manual didn't have a reference for it)?
Has anybody experienced something similar?
Thanks in advance.
