How do you tow a disabled 743 ?

How do you tow a disabled 743 ?
Is there something you can undo to unlock the drive to be able to tow ?

Some models you can push the levers in the direction you want to tow it and that will open up the proper valves to let the wheels turn.

Otherwise, you can disconnect the hoses to the motors. This is messy and you need to make sure no dirt enters the system.

Bobcat used to have a special tool that could be installed for towing certain machines but I have only seen them in photos.

Most of the time your best bet is to winch it on to a trailer or flatbed tow truck.

Thanks for your reply there,I know it's been awhile since I posted this post and I did skull drag it with my old 60hp Fiat tractor.I just wished I'd known about the levers being operated in the direction of the tow, but its in the memory bank if it ever has to be done again....
