I bought my 722 back in the spring which someone prior to me removed the factory fuel tank and scabbed a fuel cell on the back above the radiator, which blocked ones view behind them. After much searching I was able to find a poly fuel tank that was made to go in the stock location. My question is how is the tank held secure? Are there straps or is such a snug fit that it just sits in there? I have not physically put the tank in the machine yet due to the fact that I had to fab a custom sending unit plate for it, one did not come w/ the tank and I am putting a Mercedes OM636 diesel in it so I needed both a supply and return fuel line. Thanks, Mike

The service and parts books indicate that the tank is flanged and held in place by the same bolts that hold the belly pan in. It has to come out through the bottom.

The poly fuel tank I have does not have any flanges.
Here's a pic from the parts book showing the plastic tank version. It appears to have foam strips to keep it from moving, the metal one showed the flanges.
