7753 r.rear tire stuck

Just bought a 7753 !! Unloading it off the trailer at home, I heard a pop …. and the right rear tire locked up. I finally got it in the shop, with help from the old tired 731. I jacked up the side, and put it on jack stands. Both tires seem to move with about the same amount of free play, but with machine running, only the front wheel has power to it …… I just want to know the best way to tackle this. Not sure where the chain case is on this machine. Thanks !!

A quick nose-about on Google indicates that this is most closely related to the 763, so you might want to grab a manual for that from the manual thread and peruse it. Sounds like a drive chain broke and balled up, locking that wheel.

Crack open the inspection cover on the chain case between the pedals, it does sound like a bad chain. Hopefully it's just the front chain, access to the rear is less fun.

yep ….I raised the cab, pulled off the rear cover and ….. right rear chain was broke …. and can see the left rear chain has a cracked link ….. I guess I'll be changing all 4 ….. Where is the best place to buy the gaskets and chains? Also the display doesn't light up, but if I shine a light on it, I can read everything. Is there a self fix for this?

Youre best bet is to get a few rolls of chain and links. You can buy oem, but the chains will have no lings to assist in installing them, axles need to come out to get them on. It's not a fun job, but can be done. If you use wire, you can use that to pull the chain over the sprockets to not get all knotted up. You will really want a helper for this job, it is very doable, just will take effort and time to do. Rolls of chain and linsk won't be super expensive either.
I believe there is a bulb behind the display i believe, at least you know it works with your own light, so the display is working, just needs a back light.

Ordered some chain made by Dayton …. hope it is good quality. Need to get this going so I can get the 731 fixed, I made a deal to sell it yesterday.

got everything fixed ….. was using it for about an hour, now the shut off solenoid is messing up. Replaced it with a new one, no change …. Are these hard wired from the ignition switch, or does it go through a relay? Anyone have a wiring diagram?? Thanks !!

Check the fuse that runs the shutoff solenoid. When you turn the key 1/2 way, you should hear a click. If you dont hear the click, the fuse is probably blown. I dont know if its your issue but its a easy thing to check for. Otherwise check the relay for the solenoid.

where are the relay and fuses located?

I have a G series machine and they are located between your legs as you sit in the cab. On your machine I think they are in the engine compartment somewhere on the left side near the battery.

worked off and on today. Ran the machine for 3 hrs, 15 minutes here and there ….. twice it killed and I had to wire the stop valve open. The wires from that valve run about 6" to a box 3 wires in, 3 wires out …… 3" to 4" Square, and an inch thick …… guessing a control module. Are these prone to fail?
