Better fuel filter assembly for 743?

I am rebuilding a couple 743's from ground up. Is there a better fuel filter setup than the multi-piece one that came on the unit?

the filter system is really ok they just put it in a bad place , look at marine applications with a screw on canister filter housing. I have had good luck with the wix 33195 filter if you can find a housing for it the filter it is very common filter. I have 2 tractors and 1 backhoe and they all use this filter.

I replace them with the later bobcat fuel filter housing 6667353 for less than $60 and it comes with the filter. the advantage is it still a bobcat part number and the filter is easily cross reference to Napa, Wix or any other filter brand you wish to use.
