743 control valve rebuild

In the process of rebuilding 3 control valves. Paying $49 per spool or $180 for a kit of 4 was painful. The 743 with the one piece control valve casting uses 2 x-ring seals and the rod bonnet. All of the other o-rings in the seal kits are extra. Dropped my cost to about $15 per spool, or $60 per block.
 
That sure is a better price than the genuine ones.
I get mine from my local hydraulic seal shop, the 743 control blocks don't use any fancy seals, the only “fancy” part is the rubber boot that keeps rubbish off the spools, but the dealers sell these.
 
when you say three control valves one would assume you mean three spools. LIFT TILT @AUX.. next step is to identify valve, can be rather diffuclt.. genral rule of thumb is to put in what you took out wheter it be quad face or oring? you cant rely on this. who knows what some one put in hence ident of valve, 743 had about three different valves. there is BC s/b as to valve ident but not really clear. worth reading though. parts bought indviualo should be about 15 bucks,

No. I mean I am rebuilding 3 control valves. Each of them are the one piece 4 spool block used in the later serial number units.
