I moved from Arizona to Texas where the ground is soft clay so the wheels sink and spin with the slightest resistance. Can anyone recommend a brand of over the tire tracks? After installation, is it a good idea to remove one of the drive chains to prevent binding or is it unnecessary?

I am more than certain that removing a drive chain is NOT required when using an over the tire chain set up. I can not even image the benefit of having to go through all of the chain case labor just to throw on tracks. I would think that would be about the time to just about to sell your machine before you go through all of that labor & down time.

I remember back in the early 90's when ott, tracks first came out. Bobcat wouldn't warranty our new machines without front chain removal. Then a few years later that practice seemed to stop. So Im not sure if bobcat did something to beef up the chain system to handle ott's better. To be on the safe side, I'd call a local dealer and give him your year model and ask their advise. On track style, if your dealing with soft, slippery clay, you may want to look at steel grouser tracks. Rubber tracks in soft clay will most likely cause a lot more slipping especially if the clay is remotely wet.

Grouser are nice tracks. We have run loggering which are 2nd in our eyes. Also had a set of tracks plus brand which were a lot cheaper but probably lasted half as long. Have heard good things about McLaren but never tried them

We wore out the Loggering type tracts we had and got a set of McLaren's with rubber pads on steel tracts. Amazing what they go threw and we can go on concrete or asphalt with tracts on. Expensive but believe there worth it.
