Make your seal driver like I said........can't see it from here but would make sure it is at least flush and not as far in as it was
Here's what the MEL1517-2 installer looks like. I don't know exactly how much it recesses the seal but I'd guess around 1/4"-3/8". Maybe you can look at the motor shaft and see where the seal has been running to tell.

If you have a lathe you can make an installation tool. I have even seated one with pin punches before. Just go slow and get it square, you should be ok.

Thanks everyone. I checked on the price of the seal installer and alignment tool at the bobcat dealer yesterday and was shocked. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $400 a piece. Does anybody rent these tools through the mail? Bobcat dealer won't Rent them. Other than that I'll do my best with PVC pipe installer. I made one up at Home Depot and it fits the circumference just about perfectly. That still doesn't address the depth problem.

It worked great for me just make sure it is long enough to hit it easy you saw how deep they were and saw the wear on the back side you will do fine
